About BrickPixel | LEGO, Pixel Art & 3D Printing

Brick Pixel has come about from my love of Lego, Pixel Art and 3D Printing. Whilst I do love building actual Lego kits, making Lego Pixel or Wall Art kits are my favourite, but there's a very limited ranged of official kits. However, we all love to draw, we all love to colour in squares in a grid, so with that in mind I began to create Brick Pixel.

Starting to build

After spending weeks drafting out the pixel art, I started the task of locating the cells and then begin placing my Lego plates.

Outlining my Model

I found it easier to complete the outlines in black before filling in the areas encompassed by the outlines.

And here is the result, its just over four foot long by nearly two and half foot tall, its just awesome.

So after making a couple of these, different designs, I thought why not take it a stage further. Wouldn't it be great to actually have brick base plates that were actually shaped to your drawing and so Brick Pixel was born.

Following the new Heman film, I was inspired to design and build this. Heman vs Skeletor plaque, hope you lie it.

Monster Inc Characters

Prefer the guys from Monster Inc instead, well here they are, and don't they all look cool. Get building.

All of the above models I actually put together, the base plates are 3D printed into the correct shape - simply Add your bricks. I do NOT sell Lego or MOC bricks / plates, you can choose to buy the 3D printed base plate, or just the design instructions. Various places sell Lego / MOC bricks / plates,
