Chunky wheels, a stone-built body and that unmistakably prehistoric look give this Whacky Races design plenty of character in pixel form. The Boulder Mobile is instantly recognisable, capturing the cartoon’s offbeat style in a layout that feels bold and lively without losing the simple charm of the original vehicle.
Built on a 40 × 41 grid, the finished design measures 320 × 328 mm using 8 mm cells, giving it a neat square-like presence that suits display well. The pixel construction works particularly nicely here, emphasising the blocky outline of the car and helping each detail stand out cleanly.
It sits within the Whacky Races cartoon series and makes a distinctive piece for anyone who enjoys classic animated vehicles and retro character designs. Whether you want the flexibility of PDF Instructions or a ready-made format to suit your preferred way of building and displaying, it is available as PDF Instructions, Mini Pixel and 3D Pixel Board.
